This weekend was a birthday double-whammy! Pastor Bob’s was Friday, June 4th, and Mary Ann’s was Saturday, June 5th!
I know there are no words that could possibly express what you two mean to our community, so I won’t even try.
Pastor Bob and Mary Ann, we never shut our doors completely because of you two. You have worked tirelessly for the past 14.5 months to continue to bring worship to all of us, and it has not gone unnoticed. Your efforts have been extraordinary, inspiring, and heart-warming. This time has been rough for all of us, but your consistent leadership has guided us through the darkness. Now that we see the light gleaming on the other side, just out of reach, we want to thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. We could not have prospered as a community this past year without you and the rest of the church leadership. Your faces have been there for us every week as we laughed, cried, struggled, and accepted our new normal; and as we begin to look to the future. Here’s wishing you a wonderful year to come.
and Happiest of Birthdays to you!
With all of our love, Cindy, writing for the Union Congregational Church community.
