Community Suppers

Take-Out Suppers will resume Monday, September 20, 2021

Union Congregational Church in Peterborough (33 Concord Street) is pleased to announce that their weekly free community suppers resume in a form appropriate for the times: the church offers meals for takeout once a week. Each meal includes a different main dish every week, along with salad or vegetable, bread, and dessert. Menus are posted on the church website:

Supper orders must be placed by noon on Fridays to allow for food shopping over the weekend. Order by calling 924-7821 and leaving a name and number of meals for Monday evening pickup on the answering machine. Food will be prepared and packaged Monday afternoon for pickup between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. at the church kitchen door.

“A limited number of people will cook and clean up to keep the kitchen safe and workers socially distanced. The kitchen will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized each week,” said supper coordinator Martha Dahl. “During this difficult time, UCC invites and encourages anyone in the local community to participate in Monday Night Supper Take Out – whether they need a bit of support stretching the food budget or would simply like someone else to do the cooking for them, their family or a friend.”

*** We are also pleased to announce that Union Congregational Church is involved with the Community Meals To Go program.
