PETERBOROUGH MONDAY NIGHT SUPPER RETURNS — TO GO
Union Congregational Church in Peterborough ( 33 Concord Street) is pleased to announce that their weekly free community suppers will resume this fall in a form appropriate for the times: s tarting Monday, September 14, the church will offer meals for takeout once a week. Each meal will include a different main dish every week, along with salad or vegetable, bread, and dessert. Menus will be posted on the church website (www.uccpeterborough.org/community-suppers).
Supper orders must be placed by noon on Fridays to allow for food shopping over the weekend. Order by calling the church office at 924-3272 and leaving a name and number of meals for Monday evening pickup with the church secretary or on the answering machine. Food will be prepared and packaged Monday afternoon for pickup between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. at the church kitchen door.
“A limited number of people will cook and clean up to keep the kitchen safe and workers socially distanced. The kitchen will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized each week,” said supper coordinator Martha Dahl. “During this difficult time, UCC invites and encourages anyone in the local community to participate in Monday Night Supper Take Out – – whether they need a bit of support stretching the food budget or would simply like someone else to do the cooking for them, their family or a friend.”
Come to the Community Supper!!!
We always have such a good time being together and sharing in this work.
